Copper magnesium is available as round solid wire, the chemical composition of copper magnesium alloy wire typically contains a combination of copper (Cu) and magnesium (Mg) as the main elements. The specific composition may vary depending on the desired properties and application of the alloy. Magnesium increases the strength of the copper and reduces the conductivity relatively slightly. By adding Mg in the range of 0.1 to 0.8 % Mg, the ratio of tensile strength and conductivity can be adjusted very precisely.
